What is a qualifier?
The ADO hosts 4 national qualifiers a year to play in the world cup of darts. The RCDA holds "qualifiers" in order to try
and send one of our members to this event. First we hold Association playoffs. It is done in round robin format, where you will play each person 3 games. The number of wins and losses are kept track
of. The top two people (mens and womens) of each round will go on to compete in the Association finals. Once again it is round robin format. You will play each person, who has qualified for the
finals, The number of wins and losses are kept track of, and depending on the number of participants, either the top player, or the top two or three players, will than go on to compete in the
Regional playoff. Regionals is played the same way...round robin, and once again The number of wins and losses are kept track of, and depending on the number of participants, either the top player,
or the top two players, will than go on to compete in the National playoff. From there the top men and women in the country go on to play against other countries. There are three 501 qualifiers and 1
cricket qualifier each year.
Who can qualify?
Anyone can come and qualify as long as they are current RCDA members.
How do I qualify?
You must pay a fee set by the ADO rep each time you attempt to qualify. If you are not currently a member, you can pay $10 in addition to your
entry fee, to join the RCDA for the year. After you pay your fee, the names are drawn for the order you play everyone. You than play each person 3 games of either 501 or cricket, round robin format.
When can I qualify?
The dates and times are currently posted on the home page of our website, and will also be posted here, the message board, and they are
also sent out in email.
Where are the qualifiers?
The location of the qualifiers vary between our current bar sponsors and are posted with the dates and times.
Why should I qualify?
It is great practice, a lot of fun, and a chance to make yourself better.
